Subject: how to export CA root certificate?
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Security
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Not applicable

I have a Domino CA with keyring files (no CA process). I want to setup S/MIME Mail with some customers, and for testing purposes I try first for myself with Notes and Mozilla Thunderbird as supposed Customers Mail-Client. My question: How can I export the root certificate of my Domino CA to a format that Thunderbird acknowledges as CA? I was able (with the IBM "IKeyman" utility) to export the Domino CA root certificate to pks12, which Thunderbird does import, but in Thunderbirds Certificate list it then resides under "Other Certificates" and not under "CA". So I am perfectly able to send signed messages from my Domino world to Thunderbird, but TB still says "signatur invalid cause you dont't trust this CA".
What must I do to nake TB trust my Domino CA? Thanks!
